The place was pleasant and had excellent staff with the manager over there, appreciated the stay. The breakfast was free with a wonderful view of the bay, omelets made to order plus omelet station, worth the price. The hotel was in an amazing location close enough to $ 150 per night, which is an old Fairfield Inn adjacent to the property that is now under the ownership of the Bar Harbor Regency...

There are only 2 things I liked about this place, how close it was to the entrance to Acadia Natl Park and the view of the ocean.
So much to say, not enough key strokes to say it. It is supposed to be a "Resort", not so, the lobby looks like a resort, but that's it! Room was so, so..food in Restaurant was over priced. We payed over $250/nite for our room..NO Breakfast included. Laundry, 2 washers did not work, detergent machine out of order, change machine worked sometimes...workout room looked like it had not been vacuumed for weeks. We stayed 3 nites and not once did I see any of the hallways vacuumed. We had issues getting packets of coffee for our in room coffee maker, we were told they were out, then when I pushed the issue, they miraculously appeared at our room. Hampton is much better!

In general service was great!
The pros were the staff was wonderful the grounds very nice!
The Cons were we stayed in the Proctor section and we had to change our room it was not satisfactory at all. We changed to the main hotel and it was average for the cost high for that room, we moved to another hotel downtown an affiliate West Street Hotel! It was amazing it was newer and so accommodating when we changed...the rest of our stay was beyond satisfying!

Stewman's Restaurant was GREAT! Room view w/ Balcony was very pleasant.
Hotel had just opened for the season the day we arrived. Main Resstaurant was not open, Staff was still learning jobs. There was no amenities book in the room. Never did find the Sauna. Hot tub was 100 yds from room and way outside.

The location to Acadia and Bar Harbor was perfect!! We were impressed with the beautiful grounds and comfortable rooms. The breakfast buffet exceeded our expectations!
We had one unsettling incident. We returned to our room #714 around 4:00 in the afternoon ( 9 / 9 / 2012) to find the door wide opened and the bathroom fan and light on. It was cleaned, no staff was around!! We knocked on our neighbors room and she said their room had been cleaned 30 minutes before. So we assume the cleaning staff had forgotten to make sure our room door was locked. We checked all our luggage and did not find anything missings, however , we had IPads in a carry on in the room. I assume we will not have any further surprises because of this situation. My husband reported this to the front desk and we received a call from someone on staff with an apology. It was a very uncomfortable feeling , security is important to us. A aside from this incident, our stay was perfect. Your resort exceeded our expectations!

Couple's retreat, with some perks
I gotta say, the staff really stood out for me. The two girls at the front desk were super friendly, remembering my name from one day to the next. It, you know? Plus, the view from our room was very nice, especially having my coffee on the balcony while staring at the water.
But let's be honest, it wasn't exactly a bargain.
